This bungalow located in Clifden was originally rated BER D2. The first steps included a technical assessment to determine the measures required to uplift the BER. The retrofit and renovation works for this project took 4 months to complete which also included some external work including porch extension and new tarmac driveway.
A BER was carried out post retrofit works which resulted in a BER of A1. A grant of approximately €35,000 from SEAI helped fund the energy efficiency upgrades including wall, floor and attic insulation, heat pump, underfloor heating, solar PV system, and new PVC doors.
